Professional Engineer (P.E.) Colorado

Caan joined the Anthem team in 2021 after several years of work as a licensed structural engineer in Colorado, being based in Denver but also providing designs around the country. He was naturally drawn to engineering and has excelled in math and science throughout his life.

Throughout his career Caan has had the chance to design structural systems for custom homes, townhomes, apartment complexes, mixed-use developments, and commercial buildings. His work has been constructed with a wide array of structural materials including timber, steel, concrete masonry unit (CMU), cold formed steel, and aluminum. He is an avid user of the Risa design platforms and enjoys the process of design formation as new projects spring to life.

Now residing in Summit County, Caan is a talented designer and leader, who especially enjoys opportunities to shape custom residential homes. In addition to his engineering career, he makes time to enjoy the beauty of Colorado in a variety of ways, including capturing the landscape through photography and obtaining a patent for a camping shelter prototype.

I like working with wood the most. It is the most versatile and unique of the building materials.

When I’m not working, I’m……

When I’m not working, I’m outside as much as possible. Living in Summit County allows me to hike, bike, disc golf, ski, snowshoe, camp, and work on nature photography, among many other hobbies and all within a short commute.
