Jacob Conners, P.E.
Project Engineer
Jacob spent the first 10 years of his career as a Civil Engineer for the U.S. Forest Service where he designed and maintained low volume roads and bridges all around Colorado. He spent many hours a day in the backcountry and dealt with the challenges of construction in the most rural locations imaginable. He holds many Federal certifications, and has managed a total of approximately $1.3 million dollars’ worth of Federal contracts. During his undergraduate studies, he also worked as a Materials Testing Technician, becoming intimately familiar with construction practices, and how materials actually behave in the field, not just how we often wish they would behave!
In 2019, he transitioned to Structural Engineering, working for firms in Denver collaborating with Architects and individual homeowners while designing and drafting new single-family homes and remodels; load rating existing timber, steel, and concrete bridges for safety; collaborating with Civil Engineers while designing new bridges and road corridors; and performing safety inspections of existing bridges, culverts.
Anthem gave Jacob the opportunity to return to Steamboat Springs, the place he calls home.
Here, he enjoys solving complex problems to make Architects’ and homeowners’ visions become a reality. Nothing excites him more than a complex structural model! His attention to detail allows Anthem to produce high quality drawings.
