Professional Engineer in Training (E.I.T.)

Originally from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Kylie joined the Anthem team in 2022 after six years of work in Structural Engineering in the Greater Denver Area. She began her career after completing her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering at Clemson University in South Carolina where she also played D1 Collegiate soccer.

With familial ties to the southwest, Kylie fell in love with the mountains at an early age and was eager to move west upon graduation. During her six years of experience, Kylie has been heavily involved in residential projects. She enjoys the complexity of custom residential project types and the personal connections made through the design of homes.

Q & A

What is your favorite building material to work with?
My favorite material to work with is wood. The variety of species lends itself to interesting design considerations, while also contributing to an aesthetically pleasing finished product. Though, not all true structural elements are exposed, using wood gives designers the option to show off a naturally beautiful skeleton by utilizing CLT, glulams, among other species and wood products.

When I’m not working, I’m……

When I’m not working, I’m still playing soccer, and a lot of it! Outside of work, you can also find me at a lot of live music events, whether it be concerts, festival, or even performing at the occasional open mic. I am a big fan of mountain sports, including hiking, trail running, and downhill skiing, I bring my pupper, Meyer, on as many of those adventures as I can.
